Day 83 - Searching for Light

Following today’s practice, I was feeling motivated after watching the Annie Leibovitz Masterclass video. I decided to start taking more photos focused solely on harsh light with the intention of changing the images into black & white in post. Snapping a few with the wide-angle as I walked around the gym. After lunch switched to the 50mm and went for a long walk around the campus. I really enjoyed this so much as I walked all over in search of this view.

Normally I’ve been avoiding photos during midday and have instead been focusing on taking photos either during the evenings or at night. Today was a beautiful day though for a long walk before the afternoon session. Towards the end of my walk, I reached a bridge just slightly out of the campus. With the overpass & the sun casting a dark shadow made for more interesting compositions.
