Day 79 - Meeting up with Valerie

A few months ago, Sabine told me that her cousin was planning on taking a trip and would be in China at the start of November. At the time, I didn’t think I would even be in Beijing but following New Zealand, the team got rerouted and we’ve been here for the off-snow training camp. This week we finally got in contact. Following a trampoline session with the kids & a mellow afternoon. I was trying to focus on doing some homework when I started getting texts from Valerie asking if I was free this evening. It worked out that I had a free evening and we planned to meet up in Wudaokou. 

Right after the afternoon session with the kids & a quick workout for me, I went straight to the bus. It was a bit late getting to Wudaokou, but thankfully Valerie made it alright without any data. We ended up going to Pyro’s Pizza, and it was delicious! Definitely planning on making at least one more stop there while I’m still in the area. After sharing a massive pie, we hopped on the subway & headed towards the Olympic Stadium. Making one long walking pass through it before heading to the subway station & calling it for the night. Fun times catching up & seeing her here in Beijing!
