Day 74 - Beijing at Night
Headed into town for some dinner near Sanlitun. Afterward, I wanted to explore a bit more of the downtown area and see this place at night. Since living in China the past year, one thing I continue to enjoy is the way buildings are lit up at night. This evening the sky was a bit cloudy & had an orange tint to it. I decided to start taking some wide angle-low shots of a couple of buildings near the subway, before realizing that my lens was actually able to capture both buildings inside the composition.
I continued my walk around the area snapping photos till arriving at The Place, a mall with a football field-sized screen covering the outdoor area of the mall. I found this place from googling some places top places to take photos in Beijing. While it was pretty cool to see in person, would be much better if I had a model present with me. By the time I arrived and snapped a few photos, it was time to head back to the station. On the way back, there was a little park above the parking area. When I got up there, I was amazed at the open view of some of the surrounding buildings. Really wouldn’t mind coming back during the day time for some of these shots, but still enjoyed the view regardless.
