Day 16 - 70th Preparations & Ice Cream Flex

It was another hot one out here in Jinan. While the afternoon session got underway, I decided to walk around the campus and get some ice cream. Might be slightly obsessed with the hole in the ceiling building near our gym. Been trying to snap more and more photos in it when the light improves. As I was walking around towards the store, I noticed a lot of preparations happening. At the end of the month it’s the huge celebration for the 70th Anniversary of the Chinese Communist Party. First heard it was happening when we were in Qinhuangdao, and since being here have started to see a bunch more people getting ready for the nationwide celebration.

Since it was so warm out, I figured I’d get the buddy Riccardo some ice cream as well. Just in time after finishing his workout, the contrast was so hilarious that we had to take a few more pics. Who said you can’t go to the gym and enjoy a snack?
