Day 100 - Thanksgiving from China
I honestly can’t believe it’s been 100 days since beginning this challenge. To say it’s been an interesting last 100 days would be an understatement. So many things have happened & there have already been so many changes in my own personal life. For photography, I’ve started to really notice a pattern on how I like to take images and the types of compositions I prefer. As I continue on with this challenge, I look forward to seeing the progression that I’m hoping will take place as I plan to continue improving each and every day. One amazing part of this entire challenge has been the number of positive reactions I’ve heard from people who I have told about the challenge and how many motivate me to either keep on going or to include them as well.
Back to today, and time for another cold day on the slopes. This morning the temperatures were so cold that I thought it would be best to not even bring out the camera. Today was still a good one though as we all headed to the bunny slope a bit sooner and linking up with Turpin & his team to create a huge slalom course. Had our kids doing gates from top to bottom the entire morning
After lunch, we rushed back out for more skiing. This time bringing the camera back out as the temperatures continued to improve. Lots of hot laps and continuing to work on some switch technique around the mountain.
As we were finishing up the ski day, I received a text from my parents wishing me a Happy Thanksgiving. It’s sad for me to admit, but I didn’t even realize it was the holiday. As it sunk in, I had a big feeling of missing family and friends, but still thankful for a lot of blessings I’ve gotten this year. I hope everyone back home is having an amazing Holiday. If anyone feels the need to send some turkey, green bean casserole, stuffing, cranberry sauce, & apple pie, that would be fine with me!
