SFR Freestyle Tour - Travel Days

After enjoying a few weeks from competing it was time to start up the season again, with the next stop at Val Thorens for the SFR Tour in France. For this journey over I was joined by, Alex Hackel, Robby Franco, and Willie Borm.

Following a 15-hour or so travel day, we all safely arrived in Geneva. While Willie went off to meet up with his ride, Alex, Robby, and I had a few hours to kill. So we decided to take the train into Geneva to walk around the town a bit.

While this wasn’t my first time in Geneva, it was the first time I’ve had the chance to walk through at my our own pace and not just rush straight to the airport or train station.

Very glad we all got the chance to explore the city a little bit. Right around noon it was time for us to head back to the airport for our shuttle up to Val Thorens, were we all fell asleep very fast. Arriving at our hotel a few hours later, we had a couple hours to chill before the first meeting for the contest. During the meeting we were informed of the bad weather rolling in, and how we were not planned to have any practice for the next day.

Right after the meeting finished, it was back to the hotel to try and watch the Seahawks game. While I’m so very hyped that we won that game (miracle for sure), the best news of the day came with a call from my brother Steve. He just engaged to his amazing girlfriend Rachel!! So happy for my brother, and can’t wait to have a sister in law!

Cheers,
