Winter Dew Tour - Day 1
Up early, and ready to ride. Today kicked off the annual Dew Tour in Breckenridge, Colorado. With a stacked field ready to go, practice was quite the show.
First run through, I was happy to follow in Willie Borm to get the speed for the jumps. The jumps this year are a little bit smaller than in years past, but with plenty of kick to get your tricks down solid. For the majority of the morning, everyone was taking it easy, and getting comfortable with the course. One of the highlights of this course is the amount of rail combinations you can take.
Overall it was a solid first practice day. For some of us these were the biggest jumps we’ve hit in a month or so. Took me awhile to feel comfortable on the course today. Windy conditions in the morning made finding the correct speed a bit difficult. Thankfully by the afternoon I was able to figure the speed out, and had an awesome rest of the day putting my run together.
Looking forward to another day of practice tomorrow!
