Day 103 - Razr Rental

Last night we found out the highway would be closed in the morning & would delay our trip for one day. With this unforeseen down day, Deni & myself didn’t know what to do. Not having a ski pass or any of our snow gear with us. Deni then remembered the Razr & Sled Rental place down the road. We decided to go check it out and see what it was all about.

Both of us had never rented something like that before in China, and were a little unsure of the protocol. So Deni and I brought our passports & had money ready for what ever insurance thing they might ask us to cover. Turns out they were only interested in the money part & we didn’t have to show our passports or sign anything. This was fine with us & we quickly got geared up and headed out to the Razr.

Ended up getting a bit of a guided tour throughout the area, with the guide taking us through this forest past some logging trails. Eventually zig-zagging through the little village with locals looking on and shouting at the random foreigners driving through the town. Towards the end of the tour we found our way through an Aspen forest that was really.a beautiful sight. Wish we could have stopped a bit longer to take some photos, but as we only had a limited time to ride we had to get back. Still very fun to get out and drive something here, it’s been way too long since I got to drive one of these. Usually on some sand dunes or at the old Ranch.
